In Q2 2025, Moldova significantly diversified its electricity imports, reinforcing energy security and reducing reliance on single-source supply. According to the National Energy Regulatory Agency (ANRE), Romania remained the primary supplier with 36.8% of imports, followed by domestic generation at 33.3% (83% renewables). Croatia ranked third with 20.9%, and Ukraine supplied 101.5 million kWh, covering 9.2% of total imports.
