D.TRADING: Italy Emerging as a Key Hub for LNG, Gas Storage, and Renewables

D.TRADING is strengthening its activities in Italy as part of a wider European strategy to enhance supply security, diversify gas imports, and expand renewable generation.

The company, already active across electricity, gas, and renewables in Central and Southeastern Europe, is finalizing its registration as a gas shipper and trader in Italy. D.TRADING is also exploring partnerships for LNG regasification and gas storage, positioning Italy as a southern gateway for LNG flows into the European market.

In 2024, D.TRADING supplied more than 34 TWh of energy to European wholesale markets and delivered over 600 MW of renewable generation across Austria, Slovenia, Romania, and Poland. The company now aims to leverage Italy’s infrastructure and geographic position to expand access to LNG and renewable capacity.

D.TRADING continues to invest in renewables and cross-border flexibility products, aligning its strategy with Europe’s transition toward a more diversified and sustainable energy system.
