D.TRADING reinforced its commitment to Europe’s energy security at the GasTech conference in Milan, positioning LNG as a cornerstone of supply diversification and resilience in the post-Russian transit era.
“Our mission is to strengthen Europe’s energy independence by ensuring reliable and flexible LNG supply, supported by resilient access routes. LNG is more than a commodity - it is a bridge that safeguards Europe’s security today and accelerates the energy transition for tomorrow. LNG, together with coherent policy alignment, provides a credible path to EU energy independence. With Russian gas transit through Ukraine ending in early 2025, diversification is no longer a slogan but an urgent necessity for Europe’s security and competitiveness”.
Dmytro Sakharuk
CEO of D.TRADING, talking to Reuters.
Speaking to Bloomberg, James O’Brien, Head of LNG at D.TRADING, noted that transporting LNG from southern Europe to Ukraine can add up to €12/MWh - underlining the need for infrastructure upgrades and smarter market solutions.
In a separate interview with Montel News, Sakharuk noted that Ukraine has not yet secured enough gas for the coming winter, as current reserves remain below the necessary stability buffer.
D.TRADING’s presence at GasTech 2025 demonstrates its proactive role in reshaping Europe’s gas architecture at a decisive moment - as the continent accelerates both diversification and decarbonization to build a secure, sustainable energy future.
